Our Mission
Bold Minds exists to build an intelligent, culturally grounded learning ecosystem for children of the global African diaspora, one that preserves knowledge, connects communities, inspires curiosity, and prepares the next generation to understand their history while building their future.
We are not simply teaching Black history. We are helping young people understand themselves, their ancestry, their relationship to the world, and the possibilities open to them, while developing the academic, technological, creative, leadership, and life skills they will need. Diaspora knowledge is the foundation of the curriculum, not a supplement to it.
states require Black history in K-12. Our children deserve a curriculum where they are present from the beginning.
Our Vision
A digital school powered by an AI learning companion built for the global African diaspora, where a child in Atlanta learns alongside a child in Accra, a student in London explores a lesson connected to Jamaica, and a family in the Caribbean traces its history to West Africa.
AI will change how children access knowledge. Our vision is to make sure our knowledge is there when they do: organized, interactive, personalized, and accessible anywhere.
Our values shape what we build and how we build it:

Learning should feel like discovery. Stories, missions, journeys, experiments, and conversations, not lectures. Children should want to know what happens next.

Our story does not begin with struggle. We teach the full continuum: kingdoms, mathematics, navigation, art, resistance, invention, and innovation, alongside the hard histories that must never be erased.

Build it together. Historians, educators, technologists, families, and cultural institutions have carried this knowledge for generations. Bold Minds is infrastructure for what they have preserved, built in the open with the people it serves.
