FAQ

Bold Minds Project is the foundation: the board, advisory committee, partners, donors, and volunteers building the ecosystem. Bold Minds Academy is the school itself, where children and families learn. This site is for the people building it. Families looking to enroll will find the Academy on its own site.

Bold Minds incorporated in 2025 and operates as a nonprofit foundation. Details on our tax-exempt status and governance documents will be published here as they are finalized. Write to us if you need documentation for a gift or grant.

Primarily children and young people of African descent across the global diaspora: the U.S., the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, Canada, and the Continent. The wider ecosystem serves parents, homeschool families, educators, schools, community and cultural organizations, museums, libraries, researchers, and mentors.

History is a major part of the curriculum, but the vision is larger. Bold Minds spans science, technology and AI, mathematics, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership, civics, the arts, languages, health, and life skills, and keeps showing children how it all connects. Diaspora knowledge is the foundation of the curriculum, not a supplement to it.

A children’s book, a learning song, more than 100 collected K-6 lessons and modules, and the Black Factx card game, all in market. Partnerships are forming in the U.S., on the Continent, and in the Caribbean. The digital platform and AI learning companion are in development. See What’s Already Built and Impact & Progress for detail.

An intelligent guide through the Bold Minds curriculum, grounded in a curated diaspora-centered knowledge base rather than a general-purpose chatbot placed on top of an old curriculum. It is in development. The technology is not the mission; the knowledge is.
