How Children Learn

Learning should feel like discovery. Bold Minds invites children into stories, missions, mysteries, journeys, and experiments, so they explore knowledge rather than get lectured about it.

story-driven learning experiences already in development: a DNA journey through time, and a Gullah Geechee heritage story

Complex subjects get translated into experiences a child can connect with emotionally and intellectually. One experience being developed explores haplogroups and DNA as a mission: children enter their names, become participants in the journey of how humans traveled across the world, and discover the traces of those journeys still inside our DNA. Another centers a Gullah Geechee princess whose grandfather helped enslaved people escape into the swamps of South Carolina, so children meet heritage, resistance, geography, and community through a character they can care about.

History should not always feel distant. Students should be able to enter the story.
